First stop after the Dempster is of course Dawson city, I didn't spend to much time here but I did go to a market and bought some yarn that had a blend of sheep and husky hair, I'm a sucker :P
I decided to drive the Canadian side of the top of the world highway to make it as far west as I could drive.
In the second picture here, you can see the border crossing.
The views were pretty hazy from smoke, but I also decided to take a detour off the main road to go see the forty mile ghost town, unfortunately the hike was closed to public access, so I couldn't see it. But it was still a nice drive!
Back in Dawson, I did the tiny hike to the paddle wheel graveyard, where a bunch of the old paddle wheel boats were left once they were decommissioned.
And I'm off! Time to leave Dawson, and go to Whitehorse. While driving on the highway, I passed a bunch of horses having a strolled down the road. :)
