Kings Throne Round Two
July 29, 2023 to July 30, 2023I headed back to Whitehorse and I met Rachel and her two dogs Kinder and Tuna. We decided to go to Kluane for the weekend to do a hike and paddleboard. I rented a paddle board and we headed out. It was my first time paddle boarding, and it turns out it's pretty great! I did stand up, but thats not pictured... it didn't go horribly.
Last time I tried to do the full Kings Throne hike, I hurt my foot, and had to turn around while I was starting on the ridge. So this was my second chance to get to the summit. We camped near by and got started early.
Kings throne was just as beautiful, and even more fun with this crew.
This time we did end up making it to the summit, and it was so worth it! While we were enjoying the views, and thunderstorm did start rolling in so we were in quite the rush on the way down, but we made it back, cooled off by jumping in Kathleen Lake, and enjoyed some udon for dinner.
