The start of Stewart-Cassiar Highway

May 27, 2023 to May 31, 2023

I left Prince George and continued west, I had bought jerry cans in Prince George so at the first campground I got to I got those strapped to the roof rack tray, it worked!

I continued on to Smithers where I had intended to do a hike call Twin Falls, but on my way I encountered a barricade with a sign saying it was closed for avalanche risk. So plans changed and I went even farther to Witset canyon and stayed at the campground that was right behind it. Absolutely amazing campground. I had a lovely chat with Brenda who was running the place and took advantage of the free laundry so I'd be ready to head out in the morning.

The next stop was New Hazelton, here there is the Hagwilget Canyon with a suspension bridge which was the highest suspension bridge in Canada when it was constructed.

I stayed in a nearby park for a few days working, the view was absolutely spectacular.

I got up to no good with the drone again... I don't know about this affect :P

And I'm off, starting driving up the Stewart-Cassiar Highway I found a spot by a lake for the night with clear view of the sky so I could setup the starlink and work the next day (No cell reception here!). I am officially the farthest north I have ever been!
