We had originally planned on trying mountain biking when we got to Revelstoke, but it turned out we were here too late and all the classes were done for the season. We still wanted to sit still for a bit, so we found a place on a lake to stay and it was pretty gorgeous. The one downside was Rachel's van did get its first mouse here. We got a trap and set it up to catch it, we didn't have luck catching it in the trap we bought, but we did wake up to the sound of the mouse trying to jump out of the old dog food bag we had left out to be thrown out in the morning.
We made a thanksgiving dinner in the van, and it turned out pretty amazing. Whole roast chicken, breakfast sausages (this is a tradition is Rachel's family, so we had to continue it), roasted mini potatoes and carrots, stuffing, and gravy!
Last time I was in Revelstoke I wanted to go into the park but it was closed because it was too early in the season, this time the road was closed because it was too late in the season, so we still couldn't go that far into the park. There were a few trails at the base that were still open, it was short so Rachel convinced me to do a post thanksgiving turkey trot and trail run it.
